Excellent paintings of French Impressionism and its predecessors engage in a stimulating dialogue with masterpieces of older art in the museum. The spectrum ranges from Lucas Cranach the Elder to Cézanne, van Gogh and the early Picasso. Among the approximately 200 works of art are top works by Géricault, Manet and Toulouse-Lautrec, as well as entire groups of works by Delacroix, Courbet, Corot, Daumier and Renoir.
A beautiful park with old trees and important sculptures surrounds the property. It is complemented by an attractive café with a terrace overlooking the garden. In summer, visitors can enjoy a picnic basket ordered by the museum café in the shade of the landscape garden's beautiful fruit trees. The Oskar Reinhart Collection at Römerholz also offers children's workshops and special children's birthday parties, as well as many other museum events in the field of art history and cultural history.

The collection offers audio guides in German, French, Italian, English, Spanish and Japanese. There is also a special audio guide for children aged 6 and over.
