BRÜCKI 235 – Aufführungsfenster 13 ZIRKUSQUARTIER
Circus, dance and theatre for children and young people
The circus quarter becomes a place for big questions, wild imaginations and unusual encounters. The performances take their audience on journeys – to the moon, through time, into friendship and into fantastical worlds. They tell stories of belonging and friendship, of setting out and home, of possessions and responsibility, of closeness and change.
Through circus, clowning, dance, music, physical theatre and playful stage worlds, spaces are created where children and adults can marvel, laugh, ask questions and reflect together. Sometimes sensual and poetic, sometimes Dadaist and wild, sometimes humorous and touching: at the heart of it all is always the encounter – with others, with oneself and with the world in which we live.

ON THE MOON (ages 6 and over)
Cie. Youkali
Rocket launch. The astronauts leave the atmosphere, float in weightlessness and approach the Moon. But then: alarm. A perilous landing, in a place that is no less menacing. Enchanting, distant and largely unknown – the laws here are completely different from those on humanity’s home planet. Here, what was previously taken for granted is thrown into question: territory, ownership, one’s own place in the world.
‘ON THE MOON’ is a production by Cie. Youkali that combines aerial acrobatics, dance, physical theatre, live sound and scientific content. Navigating the space between fact and fantasy, it embarks on a visually rich journey into space, where it encounters questions about humanity’s relationship with the environment.
