Book Dates: Five, Six, Seven, Eight – Ewald Arenz

Reading is often a solitary pursuit – in a positive sense: you immerse yourself in another world, follow the characters’ stories, get annoyed or delighted by the content, style and language, and in the end you’re released back into everyday life. Sometimes a book lingers in your mind and you want to discuss it with others. With the digital Book Dates organised by Luzia Stettler and Swiss libraries, you can even do this from the comfort of your own home.

Each season features online discussions on 12 different books. The partner libraries allow their users to take part free of charge: a library card entitles you to register for as many reading groups as you like; the titles you wish to read are available to borrow in-store.
