The Zürcher Theater Spektakel, an event organised by Stadt Zürich Kultur, lasts 18 days and takes place at the end of August. The festival site on the Landiwiese comprises ten venues. Open-air performances, installations and artistic interventions on the grounds as well as the festival's own bars and pubs combine with the international programme to make the Theater Spektakel an attractive cultural festival. Every year, around 50 theatre, dance and music productions from all over the world are shown, which impress with their relevance to the content, formal independence and artistic ambition. The Swiss stage scene is presented with selected premieres and newcomer works. Further accents are set by innovative circus forms. They are part of the programme section that is specifically aimed at families.
