Silent Writing

Writing doesn’t have to be a solitary activity. It’s often easier to put words to paper when you’re in company. That’s why we meet regularly at the museum café in the Pfistertreff to write together. During this time, you work on your own text – regardless of whether you are a professional or a beginner, or whether you write fiction, poetry, journalism or academic work. The only requirement for taking part is a willingness to spend two hours writing. If you’re looking for inspiration, the organisers will be happy to provide a writing prompt.

After the writing session, there is an opportunity to share what you have written and engage in conversation – however, this exchange is voluntary and not part of the fixed programme. So you can arrive quietly, write quietly and leave quietly – just as suits you best.
